Bender works in close cooperation with the manufacturers of gantry crane systems to optimise protection against electrical faults and guarantee the safety of the operating personnel. Insulation monitoring or residual current monitoring ensure high levels of safety and availability.
By means of insulation monitoring or residual current monitoring, Bender ensures the highest possible level of safety for people and systems and therefore guarantees a high level of system availability during embarking and disembarking or rather loading and unloading.
Moorings are often problematic in marinas. A central power supply feeds a large number of moorings, but there is no residual current monitoring for the individual moorings. This can lead to undetected fault currents being conducted from one boat through the water and damaging other boats in the process. Central shutdown via an RCD (fault current circuit breaker) means all moorings are de-energised, even if there is an electrical fault on one mooring only.
